Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
Thank you for your interest in AmeriCorps.
AmeriCorps is a national service program where member participants agree to provide 1,700 hours of community‐based service over 11 months in exchange for a monthly stipend, access to quality training and experience, and an educational award of $5,300.
The AmeriCorps program at GraceSource’s Family Resource Centers is a partnership between GraceSource and First 5 Yuba and is a community‐based family development program. We provide services to families in their home and at our centers to identify their strengths; improve their self sufficiency; and increase their empowerment. Our home‐based case management services educate families to make use of community resources, child development, school readiness opportunities and assist families to develop a family action plan to achieve their service goals. Center‐based services include providing assistance with emergency needs, facilitating educational workshops and groups, and hosting a variety of events both at the centers and in the community.
